ESO

Boosting personal talent

We foster their entrepreneurial and critical spirit, accompanying them as they transform their learning into actions with social impact and real commitment.

Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) is the stage that begins after Primary school. It is part of basic education, is compulsory, and comprises four academic years, usually taken between the ages of 12 and 16.

During this stage, our goal is for students to acquire the knowledge, habits, and skills necessary to access High School. At the same time, we focus on forming responsible, independent, and self-critical young people with the ability to lead projects and initiatives.

We want them to develop as active citizens, capable of adding value to the society in which they live.

PROJECT LEADERSHIP

This is a curricular space designed to provide students with personal organization tools, efficient study habits, and the ability to manage their own academic work independently and responsibly.

At Sant Andreu, our project for ESO is based on a dual commitment. On one hand, we offer academic excellence and foster social skills. On the other, we help them define their own path.

Through professional guidance, we encourage students to explore their capabilities and look toward the future with enthusiasm.

Because for us, success is not just academic; it is seeing them grow as complete individuals, capable of contributing value to society through respect, tolerance, and coexistence.

This subject is oriented toward the personal, ethical, and social development of students. Unlike theoretical or instrumental subjects, this area seeks to form critical, responsible, and empathetic citizens committed to democratic coexistence and human rights.

A subject designed to provide students with the communicative, social, and self-management tools essential for their academic, personal, and future professional growth (taught in English).

Service Learning (SL) is learning in action. It is our way of taking talent from the classroom to the streets. Students identify a real challenge in the community, get fully involved, and design a project to improve it. It is an experience that changes everything: they learn with more meaning because their work has a real impact and a clear purpose.

The Robotics subject is a technological and practical space designed to develop students’ computational thinking, engineering, and programming logic through the creation, assembly, and control of automated systems and robots.

Science Lab is a practical and experimental learning space and subject designed for students to explore concepts of biology, geology, physics, and chemistry through the scientific method.

The Fit-Club elective, consisting of one hour per week, is a subject designed to expand the practical block of Physical Education, promoting the development of physical fitness and the adoption of active lifestyle habits.

The Sport-Club elective, consisting of one hour per week, is a subject designed to expand the sports practice of the Physical Education area, focusing on team play, a diversity of sports modalities, and the values of sportsmanship.

The Taekwondo subject is a space for physical activity and personal development based on this traditional martial art, designed to improve students’ physical condition, coordination, and well-being through discipline, self-control, and respect.

The Musical subject is an artistic and multidisciplinary space designed to develop students’ creative expression through the combination of music, singing, theatrical performance, and body movement.

Preparing them for the future.

In ESO, we don’t just impart knowledge: we accompany your children in finding their own path. We do this through close professional guidance that seeks their personal fulfillment and fosters key values such as respect and tolerance. At the same time, we promote practical projects such as the Synthesis Project (7th-9th grade) and the Research Project (10th grade). In these challenges, students do not memorize; instead, they apply what they learn, connect subjects, and develop the independence necessary for the challenges of High School.

Cultural Trips

In each year of ESO, we organize cultural trips related to the synthesis credit or the content of certain subjects. In 7th grade, we do team-building activities; in 8th grade, we travel to Valencia as part of the synthesis credit; in 9th grade, we visit Andalusia within the social studies and religion curriculum; and in 10th grade, students can participate in a week-long linguistic immersion living with a family, featuring cultural and linguistic activities in Ireland.
